Intro to Wheel Throwing

Your first encounter with raw clay: an intimate studio experience designed for anyone who has never touched a potter’s wheel.

Zero experience needed—just raw curiosity and an appetite for getting your hands dirty. You’ll learn how to shape earth from scratch, walking away with your very first wheel-thrown cups and bowls made entirely by hand.

We’ll guide you through centering, pulling your first cylinder, and trimming your work once it hits leather-hard. Beyond the technique, you’ll learn how to navigate the studio, handle traditional tools, and work safely on your own. This sprint lays the groundwork for your personal projects and unlocks access to our ceramic co-working space, welcoming you into our community of local makers.

Time & Space

A compact, 2-week immersion (4 sessions, 2 hours each • 8 studio hours total):

• Tuesday nights: 20:00 – 22:00
• Saturday afternoons: 16:30 – 18:30
