An afternoon of tea and ceramics, designed to help you slow down, enjoy the moment, and experience a different pace.
Paolo from Fai da Thè will take us on a journey through some of the teas he has discovered and collected on his travels around the world, sharing their stories and guiding us through a special tasting experience.
You’ll then decorate your own ceramic tea set to take home with you — a personal piece to turn tea time into a daily ritual and a gentle reminder to slow down and make time for yourself.
Tea has its own pace.
You prepare it, let it steep, sit with it, taste it. Simple gestures that ask you to slow down and pay attention.
That’s the idea behind Tempo per tè (Take your Tea Time) , a workshop by Studio Mud in collaboration with Fai da Thè.
Paolo will take us around the world through tea, sharing stories from his travels and guiding us through a tasting of some of the teas he has discovered along the way.
Then it’s time to get creative. You’ll decorate a ceramic tea set handmade by Studio Mud, playing with colours, marks and your own visual language to make it entirely yours.
The set goes home with you — not just as something you made, but as part of a new everyday ritual. A reason to put everything else on hold, make some tea and take your time.
The Teacher
Paolo is a doctor with a lifelong passion for tea, which he has been exploring since his university days.
In Palermo, at Via Maletto 3, he opened Fai da Thè, a one-of-a-kind tea room where you can travel the world without ever leaving your seat.
Every year, Paolo travels across Asia, Africa and the Americas, seeking out rare and distinctive teas and learning how to recognise their unique qualities. Back in Palermo, he shares what he has discovered through carefully curated tasting experiences, bringing the stories, flavours and tea cultures he encounters along the way to the table.

Workshop Details
- When is the workshop? Date TBC, between November and December.
- Where? At Studio Mud, Via Alloro 66, Palermo.
- How long is it? 3 hours, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
- Are materials included? Yes. We’ll provide your ceramic tea set and everything you need to decorate it.
- Tea tasting included.
- Are places limited? Yes, the workshop is limited to 15 participants and will go ahead with a minimum of 6 participants. Save your spot!
- How much does it cost? €80 per person. If you’re currently attending a Studio Mud intensive or weekly course, you’ll get 10% off one workshop of your choice (€72). Newsletter subscribers get 5% off their first workshop of choice (€76).
- What happens if the workshop is cancelled? If we don’t reach the minimum of 6 participants, or if the workshop cannot go ahead for any other reason, you can choose between a full refund or a voucher for the same amount to use towards another Studio Mud workshop.
