SCRIGNO is a workshop dedicated to the Japanese ceramic technique of kurinuki, a process of creation by subtraction that begins by carving out a single block of clay. Through this slow and meditative gesture, participants will create a casket, a box in which the form gradually emerges from within.
Kurinuki emphasizes irregularity, the marks of the tools, and the unpredictability of the material, giving rise to unique and deeply personal objects. The casket thus becomes a symbolic container, designed to hold not only objects, but also meanings and intentions.
The workshop is open to all and offers an experience of listening, concentration, and direct dialogue with clay, where time slows down and the gesture becomes essential.
