What does Studio MUD’s short Wheel Throwing and Decoration class include? It’s a single experience that lets you explore both sides of ceramics: wheel-throwing and decoration.

This three-hour session is suitable for all levels—even first-timers. In the first part, you’ll learn essential wheel techniques: centering, opening the clay, and pulling a cylinder to create a small form.

In the second part, you’ll decorate a pre-fired piece that will then be glazed and fired. You can pick it up after about 48 hours or request shipping. To make the experience even sweeter, enjoy a coffee break with a classic Sicilian pastry between sessions.

• What you’ll take home: The piece you decorate. If you’d like, you can ask the studio staff to finish the wheel-thrown piece for an additional €20, or add a trimming lesson to complete it yourself. Otherwise, you may leave the piece at the studio and we’ll recycle the clay.
