Hand-Building Pottery: Foundation Course

Tap into the tactile joy of shaping raw earth into something beautiful with your own hands.

This course is designed for anyone eager to explore their creative edge and master the foundational techniques of hand-built ceramics.

Join us on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 12:30 to unlock key forming methods and sculpt together under Greta’s hands-on guidance.

A creative morning to enjoy on your own or share with family & friends—open to anyone ages 12 and up.

What You’ll Learn

By completing the full 4-session journey, you will learn how to wed clay and master all essential hand-building methods—pinch pottery, slab building, and coiling—which you can also blend dynamically within a single piece.

During the final session, you’ll focus on surface design, decorating and glazing the pieces crafted throughout the course. StudioMUD will fire up to 3 of your creations in the kiln, ready for pickup one month after the course wraps up.

Prefer focusing on a single method? You can book an individual drop-in workshop for the technique that inspires you most (see the program below) for €45 per session.
