On Sunday, September 27, 2026, come find out if ceramics might be your thing.
From 10 AM to 7 PM, Studio MUD is opening its doors to anyone curious to discover the studio, meet us and get their hands a little dirty with clay.
Our teachers will be there to introduce you to wheel throwing, handbuilding and ceramic decoration — three different ways to explore clay, experiment and see what clicks.

Each person can join up to 3 workshops — one of each type — while spots last.
Your favourite session is already full? Come by anyway. A spot might open up at the last minute, and you’re always welcome to hang out, meet the community and see what’s happening in the studio.
Wheel Throwing Workshops
Get into the hypnotic rhythm of the wheel.
Our teachers will help you get a feel for wheel throwing: clay under your hands, movement, pressure and that first moment when the material starts responding to your touch.
A 45-minute free workshop to try it out, see how it feels and maybe get curious about where your hands could take you next.

Handbuilding Workshops
Get your hands into clay and see where they take you.
Explore handbuilding through different techniques, shapes and textures, and discover the simple pleasure of creating something from scratch with your own hands.
A free 45-minute workshop to play with clay, explore your creativity and get a first feel for handbuilding.

Pottery Decoration Workshops
Switch off for a while and play with colour.
Explore ceramic decoration through colours, shapes and shades, and enjoy the simple pleasure of focusing on what’s right in front of you.

Ceramist Exhibition
Throughout the day, we’ll be showcasing work by the ceramicists who are part of the Studio MUD community.
Come have a look, discover different styles, exchange ideas and get inspired by what others are making.
