Mud Experience

Our pottery session that introduces you to the world of the potter’s wheel and decoration, suitable for all levels.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: In this experience, you will learn the ceramic process that transforms raw clay into a unique piece of pottery. You will learn the basic techniques of wheel throwing: from centering to opening and how to raise a cylinder. Afterwards, you will decorate a pre-fired piece that will be glazed, and you can take it home after 48 hours. To make your experience even more enjoyable, we will have a coffee break between sessions, and you can taste a typical Sicilian dessert.
WHAT YOU’LL TAKE HOME: The piece you decorate can be picked up after 48 hours of firing, or you can arrange for shipping.
WHAT YOU CANNOT TAKE HOME: The piece made on the wheel cannot be taken home as it requires longer processing times.
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE PIECE MADE ON THE WHEEL:
Option 1: We can finish it for you, glaze it, and fire it at a cost of €20 per piece. (delivery or shipping after 20 days)
Option 2: You can book a second lesson where we will teach you how to rework it and decorate it with engobes. This lesson lasts 2 hours and costs €42 per person (delivery or shipping after 20 days).
